Okay! As it's World Book Day I've decided to draw four characters that I remember impacting me as a kid that I read and loved in books. - a post of drawing and other surprises My first is Remus Lupin from Harry Potter-- who without such I wouldn't have fallen in love with the Potter World. He felt so human to me. Kind, considerate and tormented. I was ten years old, and thought it was wonderful. To this day he and Ian contend for fav fictional teacher. I will always love Remus Lupin. After this, the next book character has to be Darren Shan. The Saga of DarrenShan introduced me to horror as a child, I devoured it, and loved it so greatly, and though I love all the characters (particularly Larten Crepsley) it wouldn't exist without Darren -- so I drew him for you! Okay, third character I want to introduce is Hester Shaw from the #MortalEngines series. The badass girl on to take on the world for revenge and learning about love and still being amazing. She was an amazing character to discover growing up. Last but not least is Lee Scorseby from His Dark Materials! This wonderful Texan who helps Lyra in her adventures. I remember loving him and Hester, his daemon so much. Whilst the film isn't amazing, Sam Elliott was always Lee to me, but I'm very excited for Lin Manuel's version
