Sophie Iles is an artist, author, and once-upon-a-time animator who has a love for Arthurian legends, 80s movies and Doctor Who.
Her writing includes 'A Single Wolf Grey and Gaunt' (found in 18thWall Productions' Sockhops and Seances). She has also written for Big Finish Productions, her Doctor Who Subscriber's Short Trip, 'A Song for Running,' about a little girl in a northern town was released with Blood on Santa's Claw in December 2019. She is also a regular writer for Doctor Who Magazine as of January 2020. Sophie’s art has found internet acclaim appearing in Doctor Who Magazine during the Doctor Who on Twitch stream of 2018. Most recently her illustrations were used for ‘The Raggedy Doctor’ a short story written by Steven Moffat during the tweet along viewing of Eleventh Hour for its 10th anniversary. Sophie has also been a regular in charity anthologies and zines for both disciplines including both Doctor Who Appreciation Society's fanzines: Cosmic Masque and Celestial Toyroom. She has also edited her own, Mild Curiosities, dedicated to the memory of Jacqueline Hill. All proceeds went to Breast Cancer Now. She's also working slowly on her last charity anthology "A Hand to Hold" currently for Mount Edgecumbe Hospice. |
